Terry A. Smith has served as lead pastor of The Life Christian Church for 26 years. TLCC is a non-denominational faith community in West Orange, NJ, serving the New York City metro area.

Terry is also co-founder of Movement.org (formerly the New York City Leadership Center) and has previously served as an instructor in its Leadership Fellows program.

Terry is passionate about challenging, developing, and encouraging leaders, whether they know they are leaders or not. He holds a bachelor of science in organizational management and a master of arts in organizational leadership.

Terry shares his insight with Dr. Joey on leveraging the power of hospitality to be an effective leader through his book, “The Hospitable Leader!”

Kim Peacock is the author of “Victorious Heart: Finding Hope and Healing After a Devastating Loss”.

The book details her handling of grief over the loss of her 17-year-old daughter. It also provides insightful advice for those seeking to support and help those who grieve.

Kim has raised six children, living with her second husband in a log house in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. Through her blog, Wild Victorious Heart, and her book and speaking, Kim acts as a grief mentor to others in need.

Today’s guest is Jacob Bustos, a chef, cooking coach, and foodie who’s been working in the food industry for over two decades, now managing several Panera restaurants in Southern California.

Jacob underwent a life-saving bariatric procedure in 2012, sparking his 160-lb weight loss journey. Jacob followed this surgery up with a traumatic skin removal surgery that nearly ended his life.

This journey was a very private and personal experience that affirmed Jacob’s purpose: “Feed people with much healthier options.”

Today he’s on a mission to share his story and insights on portion control and weight loss habits to inspire a healthier, brighter world.
